| These units were used in tandem with the unloaders to unload hopper cars and drop bottom gondolas carrying various commodities from coal and aggregates to foodstuffs such as sugar beets and corn. They were also used in retail coal operations as well as other industires including farms. We recently saw one still being used in Indiana by a firewood supplier. Our model is made from non-toxic polyurethane resin and brass. It is a snap to assemble and paint or we can do it for you. It comes with either spoked metal wheel or utility wheel castings per your choice. Wheels can be afixed in a parallel or perpendicular mounting pattern.
